  • Your pet’s chip acts as a unique identifier which means that you can always retrieve your health record even if you lose your phone or log in. It also means that vets and other care providers can positively identify all pets, even if lost or stolen. Since June 2024, all dogs, cats and horses must have a microchip implanted by law. It’s also really important to ensure that your details are kept up to date with your chip provider - this is different to us or your vet. You can find out who is your chip supplier at www.checkachip.co.uk. Without this, the chip is useless! At Boop we are aiming to ensure 100% of chip details are up to date and checked annually by your care providers.

  • We’re committed to keeping your digital vaccine record free at all times for both you and your veterinary surgeon. As we add more features, some may be only be available as an add on subscription. We’ll make it clear to you if a feature is premium.

  • If your pet stays at a boarding facility, day care or dog walker, they should ask for proof of vaccination. You can easily share your vaccination record through the app as a digital link, or print off your whole record if you wish. Just hit the share button in your app under each pet’s home page.

  • No worries! You can still use Boop to store your pet’s records and access features available to all users.

  • Participating vets are able to see your records when you nominate them as your registered practice in the app. This then allows them to esign the vaccination record for you next time you visit. It’s just like taking in your paper record, but all digital, and never forgotten.

  • We recommend keeping your paper record for the next 12 months as a back up. In the app, you can scan your record so it’s always there, and if you do need this history, then you can retrieve it at all times.

  • Your pet’s records are safely stored and only accessible by you and authorized professionals.

  • We partner with some of the producers of vaccines and medicines to help cover the costs involved. In the past, they have had to produce the paper records that your vet gives to you, which is costly to them and not environmentally friendly.

  • We take data very seriously! Your personal data is securely processed according to our privacy policy which you can read here. Limited pet information may be processed to help us and clever researchers to understand how healthy the nation's pets are. Our aim is to learn more about pet health so that together we can have the happiest, healthiest pets around.

  • Boop is available on both the App Store and Google Play.
